Hi! I'm Nancy Ohlin, and I write books for teens, kids, and adults.
Some exciting announcements:
I’m collaborating with actress Quvenzhane Wallis on an awesome new chapter book series about a precocious and talented third grader named Shai Williams. It will be illustrated by Sharee Miller and published by Simon and Schuster Books for Young Readers. The first book will be out on October 3, 2017.
The Sacrifice of Sunshine Girl, the third installment of the New York Times-bestselling Sunshine Girl YA trilogy published by Weinstein Books, just hit the bookstores on April 4! I collaborated on this creeptastic novel with Paige McKenzie, and all I can say is … you’ll definitely want to read it with the lights on!
My YA novel, Consent, is out in paperback from Simon Pulse. Described as “a layered and thoughtful contemporary novel” (School Library Journal) and “beautifully written” (School Library Connection), it is a dark love story about a young piano prodigy with a complicated past (and present and future).
I'm also writing an early-grade history series for Little Bee Books about everything from Ancient Greece to the Vikings to the Salem Witch Trials to the Civil Rights Movement. Please check out these books if you have any young readers in your life!
And last but not least … I'm collaborating with teen dancer Chloe Lukasiak on her inspirational memoir, which will be released by Bloomsbury on January 23, 2018. I love her and her story so much. Here is the April 11 announcement in People magazine.
As always, thank you for stopping by!
Hugs and kisses,
